Frequently asked questions

If any of your questions are not answered here, please email or call us on the details above.

I am not sure if you can help my condition?

If you are unsure if we can help your problem, please phone and speak to us. We are here to help you and answer any concerns you may have prior to making an appointment. A telephone conversation will be enough to see if we can help your condition. As you can appreciate, for a full and accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, an examination in one of our surgeries will be required.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Following the detailed medical history, it will be necessary for you to be examined. Most often you shall need to undress to your underwear. This is so we can access your posture and understand how all the bodies joints are relating to one another.

How long is the consultation?

Appointments are usually half an hour in duration, although conditions vary considerable in the amount of time they require. What you can be sure of is that you will receive the best treatment for your condition. Please remember that what is achieved during treatment is only a small proportion of our work. It is necessary for us to communicate with GP’s, review hospital X rays and scans, write reports and complete your insurance forms.

How long will it take for me to make a full recovery?

The length of time it takes to make a full recovery depends on several factors including your age, general health, activities in your life, and length of time you have had the condition. On your initial consultation we will explain to you the recovery progress for your particular condition and the number of treatment you may require.

Can I phone between treatments?

Of course.  We provide you with a one to one personal service and we pride ourselves on the fact that you always speak to your practitioner who knows you and your condition rather then a receptionist. If you have a new problem, concern or just forgotten to ask us a simple question, we rather you phone us then be anxious or in pain in silence.

Do I need to see my GP first?

You do not need to have a GP referral to make an appointment, although many GP’s refer patients directly to us. There may be times during treatment when we need to write to your doctor but we will ask your permission before doing so.
